Denis Cherpillod's areas of practice are business law and competition law.

In the area of business law, Denis Cherpillod has extensive experience in corporate law, contract law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. As a member of several boards of directors, he is aware of the concerns of entrepreneurs and adopts a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.

Particularly acquainted with the start-up and scale-up industry , Denis Cherpillod advises these companies or their investors in financing rounds at any stage of their development (Seed, Series A or B, etc.). On the mergers/acquisitions side, he assists entrepreneurs in the sale or purchase of companies, management buy-outs and similar transactions. His experience also extends to shareholder disputes.

Denis Cherpillod drafts and negotiates with his clients most of the commercial contracts that are crucial to a company's success (employment contracts, incentive plans, distribution contracts, contracts with suppliers, etc.).

In the field of competition law, Denis Cherpillod advises companies on horizontal and vertical agreements, distribution systems - in particular automobile distribution - and abuse of dominant position. He assists his clients in proceedings before the competition authorities and the courts and supports them in setting up compliance plans. Denis Cherpillod is a member of the competition law commission of the Swiss Bar Association (SAV/FSA).

Denis Cherpillod holds a law degree from the University of Lausanne and a doctorate in law from the University of Bern. Before joining Reymond & Associés, he practised law in leading commercial law firms and was an associate of the Secretariat of the Competition Commission. He is the author of several publications in his fields of expertise and was a lecturer at the EPFL between 2015 and 2020.
